Mont-Tremblant, October 22, 2009 - For a third consecutive year, Continental Airlines will offer non-stop service to Mont-Tremblant and the Upper Laurentians via flights between Newark airport (EWR) and Mont-Tremblant International Airport (YTM) from December 17, 2009, to March 28, 2010, with three to four flights per week.
“Airline transportation is part of our development and marketing strategy for this area and because of the experience we’ve gained over the past two years, we’ve scheduled the flights to respond to the needs of our clientele. The initiative will benefit business people as well as vacationers, who will be able to enjoy a carefree vacation. The agreement between the Laurentians air tourism group Tourisme aérien Laurentides (TAL) and Continental Airlines makes our area more accessible to guests, and we have the destinations and tourist experiences to attract them,” notes TAL spokesperson Paul Calce.
“Mont-Tremblant is now an internationally known tourist destination and a major attraction for travellers. The tourist industry in the immediate vicinity of Tremblant, and that of the Upper Laurentians, can take advantage of the resort’s visibility with American travellers. We also have a marketing committee working exclusively on the promotion and positioning of this area, of our tourist products and of the airport,” Mr. Calce adds.
